Mission Statement:

We at Whole Body Fitness are dedicated to improving your well being and increasing your energy. Whole Body Fitness.com creates exercise routines to improve results, redefine posture and minimize risk of injury through proper techniques and body mechanics. We take a holistic whole body approach to cardiovascular fitness, strength training, flexibility and nutrition.


Joan Holds multiple degrees and certifications in fitness including:

  • Master's Degree Biomechanics, University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS
  • Bachelor's Degree Exercise Science, University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS
  • Aerobics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA) Certified Personal Trainer
  • AFAA Certified Weight room specialist
  • AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Step Instructor, Mat Science Instructor
  • American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Group Fitness Instructor
  • CPR Certified


Joan has been personal training and instructing group fitness classes since 1990 and has been part of the Austin fitness community since 1995. She has developed a following through her expertise in sports biomechanics and athletic training as well as working with those individuals with special exercise needs and biomeichanical challenges.

Joan has competed in the FIT TV talent competition and has presented group exercise choreography for several states throughout the country.
